53 <br />Special Council Meeting <br />4/6/92 <br />Page Three <br />Mr. Femante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the expenditure of <br />$4,622.80 to North Coast Auto Body for repair of the police caz. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Police Cars - State Cooperarive Purchasin?Plan_ <br />Mrs. Cinco said she would like to have the requisition approved for the purchase of three <br />police cazs through the State Cooperative Purchasing Plan. They need to show approval. <br />It will be for the same specificarions as ours. They have 30-60 day delivery. They are <br />asking for approval of the requisition in the amount of $37,900 for all three cars. <br />Mr. Rinker asked the advantage of the Cooperative Plan. <br />Chief Stevens said there is no way to buy the cars more economically. <br />Mr. Diemert said the State goes out for bids which passes on to us as authorization. They <br />buy in greater quantity and get a much greater price. <br />Mayor Pietra.fese said he and Chief Stevens conferred and there is no way we can touch <br />this price. There is about a$3,000 mazgin of savings per vehicle. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to authorize the purchase of three <br />police cars through the State Cooperative Purchasing Plan in a total amount not to exceed <br />$37,900. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Authorization Given <br />ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL <br />Mr. Basile said there were a couple of matters that came up at Planning and Zoning that he <br />would like to bring up. They recommend approval of a variance for Fisher's Tavern and <br />Cooperman's. <br />Mr. Rinker said he would like to have the chance to review the minutes from the Planning <br />and Zoning Meeting before discussing these items. <br />Mayor Pietrafese read two Proclamations (one designating May 19 as Mayfield Village <br />"Senior Citizen Day"; the other designating May 19-26 as "Earth Week.") <br />Executive Session <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to recess into Executive Session.
