Highland Heights
needs a letter of intent or Council Resolution committing to the funding and reimbursing Highland
Heights for the Village's shaze of the project not exceeding 15% or $7,500.00.
Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to approve the Engineer's fees.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Fees Approved
Mr. Rinker asked for an Executive Session to discuss personnel and litigation matters.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to adjourn into Executive Session.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Morion Carried
Council went into Executive Session at 8:55 p.m..
Council reconvened at 10:03 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Rinker questioned what was going on with the Village Hall parking lot expansion.
Mayor Pietrafese stated he is in the process of getting input from the Department Heads with regard
to making another lane on the Easterly side of the pazking lot. He had mixed emotions, he would
like to maintain the green space, but he is also aware of the parking problem. It would provide
extra pazking for those using the Gazebo and when not in use, by employees. It would generate
13 to 15 spaces and would be 20 feet deep.
Chief Stevens stated that it was his opinion that for pazking alone, it is needed. Parking is at a
premium.
Discussion was held with some in favor and some opposed. With the school and church pazking
available, the percentage of use time for the Gazebo, the possibility of a new site for the
Community Center and the cost of the project, it did not seem feasible.
Mr. Fixler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the $4,100.00 band expense for the
concerts in the Gazebo for the Summer of 1992.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Expense Approved
Playground Equipment - Mr. Rinker stated Mr. Fixler has previously given some information.
The expenditure is a little over $10,000.00.
