He
does not want to sue the Village, he just wants it fixed up and for it to be done with. There is no
need to fight over it.
Village Trails: Mr. Woloszynek stated that he had talkeci to the contractor and he will be
finalizing the project. He will be addressing the street icing problem and will be getting drawings
to Mr. Hovancsek shortly.
Mr. Rinker asked that they be submitted for discussion at the Caucus.
Progressive is installing the sanitary sewers but the work is slow due to solid rock. The
construction parking lot is under construction and the remainder of the utility work is out for bid.
Asphalt Street Resurfacang: He met with T.C. Construction and they will be starting June 8th
on Sandalwood, work will take approximately one month. Asphalt sealing will begin June 1 and
will take about one day. Crack sealing work will start May 18 and take about five dry working
days.
Mayor Pietrafese stated letters are drawn up and will be coincided with the work dates.
Chief Mohr stated two bids were received for the Air Compressor. The low bid was $19,500.00
from NORCO Company. The other bid came in too late and was rejected. NORCO would have
been the low bid regazdless and recommended approval.
Mayor Pietrafese stated the Fireworks display will be on July 5. There will be a band concert from
6-9 with the fireworks to follow. Because they aze not having the display on the fourth, they will
be able to have a bigger display. He has invited Gates Mills to join in with the Village because they
do not have a place for fireworks. He indicated his residents are firework bugs. He received a
memo today that Gates Mills has approved the $2,500.00 to help for the display and are hopeful to
get more from his residents. He stated they were fortunate to find a place for the display as the
O.S.H.A. has a lot of restrictions. The three week period should provide the time
needed to do a good job. There are many bad areas that will require personal contact and the
material has to be sawed and chipped in the yard.
Mr. Rinker questioneci the benefits of this program other than the esthetics?
Mr. Amendola stated mosdy safety, brush could catch on fire.
Mayor Pietrafese stated Chief Stevens is looking into a problem with outside people dumping .
rubbish on residents property.
Mr. Amendola stated that is specifically why the gate was placed at the Service Building.
