This is not fair to your Mayor nor to your <br />constituents. Hopefully, you will allow this Ordinance to die <br />without even an attempt to override the veto as a sign of good <br />faith. I certainly have shown my good faith in working with you, <br />and would hope to receive the same in return. Al1 I ask is a fair <br />opportunity to do the job the voters elected me to do. Although <br />some of you vigorously opposed my election, I deserve an <br />opportunity to function within our existing laws. Even if you <br />persist, I will continue with my best efforts to be open with <br />Council, to take into consideration your goals and intentions, and <br />not play into this type of challenge which can only degrade and <br />again embarrass our fine Village. <br />The Clerk of Council, pursuant to the Charter, shall make this <br />veto a part of the journal of Council, and provide a copy to each <br />member for their consideration. <br />Sin rely, ° <br />r <br />Blase Pietrafes `, Mayor <br />
