If we are interested <br />in considering entering it for next yeaz, we could talk about it at that time. <br />Gazebo Concerts - Pierre's (ice cream vendor) Request - Mrs. Cinco said they came out last yeaz <br />and people enjoyed them. Council agreed not to charge them to sell ice cream at the gazebo <br />concerts. <br />Hiring of two new Patrolmen - Mayor Pietrafese said he has asked the Civil Service Commission <br />for an eligibility list to hire two new patrolmen. <br />Mr. Ferrante asked if they are having a new test. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said yes. Mr. Rinker said there had been some question about a Sergearit. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said that is a dead issue. He thinks at this point the department will be doing <br />some internal shifting, and they should be able to handle the situation without anaking a promotion. <br />Newsnaper RecycHng Co-oj2 - Mrs. Cinco said we received two pieces of legislation on this. <br />Mr. Fixler asked what would happen with the Village's contract vvith B.F.I. <br />Mr. Rinker asked if Mayor Pietrafese could send them a letter saying we aze interested as long as it <br />cloes not violate our contract with B.F.I. We would want to bring B.F.I. in to get involved. <br />Council had no objection. <br />Freon - B.F.I. (direct mailinaOV norice to residents?) - Mr. Rinker asked if Council wanted to <br />send a separate mailing to residents regarding the new policy for the disposition of items, with freon <br />in them, or to include a notice in the Voice of the Village. <br />Council felt notificarion via the Voice of the Village would be sufficient. <br /> <br /> <br />
