113 MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING/SPECIAL MEETING Mayfield Village July 6, 1992 The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, July 6, 1992, at 8:08 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Bruce Rinker presided. ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Fixler, and Mr. Rinker Absent: None r-i Also Present Were: Mayor Pietrafese, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Toth, Chief Stevens, Lt. Girbino, and Miss Heath Mr. Rinker asked Mr. Toth to explain the purpose of the Public Hearing. Mr. Toth explained that to comply with the Ohio Revised Code, we are to pass the budget by July 15 and submit it to the County by 7uly 20. The purpose is to levy taxes for tax year 1992 and collection year 1993 so. we can receive our contributions from local government funds. Anticipated millage is 7.3; same as last yeaz. There will be no tax increase to any resident of Mayfield Village. Mr. Toth cited from his memo of July lst. Mr. Rinker asked if there were any questions from Council regarding the one change in apportionment. There were no comments or questions. Mr. Rinker said Council has had the chance to review it and they have faith in Mr. Toth. Since there were no comments from Council, he asked if there were any comments from the audience. Dominic Calabrese (D.C. & Sons), - asked if he could speak to Council. Mr. Rinker said they will get to that momentarily; the only comments being accepted now are concerning the tax budget. First Reading of Ordinance No. 92-23, entitled; "An ordinance adopting a tax budget for Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the year 1993 and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole. Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a morion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
