113 <br />MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING/SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />Mayfield Village <br />July 6, 1992 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, July 6, 1992, at 8:08 p.m. in <br />the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Bruce Rinker presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Fixler, <br />and Mr. Rinker <br />Absent: None <br />r-i <br /> <br />Also Present Were: Mayor Pietrafese, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Mr. Toth, Chief Stevens, Lt. Girbino, and Miss Heath <br />Mr. Rinker asked Mr. Toth to explain the purpose of the Public Hearing. <br />Mr. Toth explained that to comply with the Ohio Revised Code, we are to pass the budget by July <br />15 and submit it to the County by 7uly 20. The purpose is to levy taxes for tax year 1992 and <br />collection year 1993 so. we can receive our contributions from local government funds. Anticipated <br />millage is 7.3; same as last yeaz. There will be no tax increase to any resident of Mayfield Village. <br />Mr. Toth cited from his memo of July lst. <br />Mr. Rinker asked if there were any questions from Council regarding the one change in <br />apportionment. <br />There were no comments or questions. <br />Mr. Rinker said Council has had the chance to review it and they have faith in Mr. Toth. Since <br />there were no comments from Council, he asked if there were any comments from the audience. <br />Dominic Calabrese (D.C. & Sons), - asked if he could speak to Council. <br />Mr. Rinker said they will get to that momentarily; the only comments being accepted now are <br />concerning the tax budget. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 92-23, entitled; "An ordinance adopting a tax budget for Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, for the year 1993 and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor Pietrafese <br />and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a morion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Rules Suspended
