Mayor Pietrafese administered the oath of off'ice to Mr. Mazquardt. <br /> <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT RINKER <br />Mr. Rinker had no comment at this time. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />En gineer - Mr. Hovancsek said the contractor is moving along in an orderly fashion on the <br />concrete removal and replacement program. <br />Police - Chief Stevens said he would like to discuss the false alarm ordinance when they get to it, <br />but he has no comment at this time. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Boazd - Mr. Amendola said the Board met and passed on three new homes, <br />three additions, two decks, and two pools. <br />Board of Anneals - Mr. Amendola said no meeting was required. <br />Cemterv - Mr. Basile said they are waiting for money ($750 each) from the three communities so <br />they can buy a lawnmower. Cirizen's Advisory Committee - Mr. Fixler said they met June 29. It was reported that Progressive <br />Insurance was continuing its expansion. They had a visitor, Dominic Calabrese, and they referred <br />him to Council (and he attended their next meeting.) It was reported that there were about 200 <br />more people at the Pancake Breakfast than last year. The clean up program held the last two weeks <br />of May went fairly well. Gus feels the program can be enhanced next year. Acquisition of the two <br />parcels of land behind the Service Building was discussed. Mayor Pietrafese is working with <br />Gates Mills about the possibiliry of the two communities going together on a community pool. <br />They are aware we will have a Village Handbook and hope to go over it at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said they following events and programs are being offered to <br />our senior citizens: Nautica Queen Trip - August 12; Ameriflora (second trip) - September 16; Flu <br />Shots -$5, pre-registration is required and the exact times will be published early in September. <br />The last picnic will be August 10. Reservations aze required. Bocce is still alive and well every <br />Thursday morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening. They recommend approval of <br />Ordinance 92-24 (to put this organization on board to analyze workmens' compensation claims.) <br />They also recommend approval of Ordinance No. 92-27. <br />,.
