146 <br />Special Council Meeting <br />9/3/92 <br />Page Two <br />Mr. Basile said he thinks they should have all their signatures on it before they vote on it. <br />Mrs. Cinco said she wants to see it done the right way. They have all worked on it hard for the <br />last four years. Another couple of days will not make any difference. <br />Mr. Busa had no comment. <br />Mr. Fixler said in view of what happened at the end of the negotiations, he thinks it is in Council's <br />best interest to wait. <br />Mr. Flynn said he agrees with the majority. <br />Mr. Rinker said he will not even put it to a vote at this rime; he will call a special meeting and <br />whichever counsel is represenring the family should come. <br />Mr. Rinker said since this is a special meeting, he will open the floor to additional items. <br />Mr. Diemert said he has the report from the Assessment Board Hearing held earlier this evening; <br />Council could make a motion to accept their report if they want. <br />Mr. Toth said he would like to address a particular item regarding the street striping contract with <br />Neat Line. <br />Mr. Rinker said he also would like to have an Executive Session regarding personnel matters. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to amend the agenda to include the <br />Assessment Boazd Report, Street Striping Contract, and Execurive Session items as mentioned <br />above. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, <br />Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Rinker <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />ASSESSMENT EQUALIZATION BOARD <br />Mr. Diemert said there was an objection to one of the street lighting assessments in the amount of <br />$814 by one of the Jefferson Park property owners. Council appointed an Assessment <br />Equalization Board and designated this evening for their meering. The meeting was conducted <br />tonight. The members of the Board were: Toni Vaccarino, Illene Rosewater and Sam Knezevic. <br />They reviewed the evidence, listened to the objection, and made the decision to uphold the <br />assessments. Mr. Diemert recommends that Council accept the assessments as spread among all <br />the residents and property owners in the Village. It would be appropriate if Council would accept <br />their report. <br />
