Mr. Hovancsek said the proposal has two different prices--one for pavement removal
($2,643.00) the other for installation of a limestone base ($4,038.00) and a reinforced concrete
pavement. He recommends Council approve both contingent upon the contractor doing all work
in accordance with the Ohio Department of Transportarion and construcrion specifications.
Mrs. Cinco said Safety and Service took this item up; Chief Mohr made them aware of it. She said
it is quite a savings from what they initially thought they would have to spend. She encouraged
Council to support it.
Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to approve the expenditure of $6681.00 to
Surface Engineering for paving in front of the fire bay area per the recommenda.tion and conditions
set by the Village Engineer.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Approved
Mayor Pietrafese complimented Chief Mohr for obtaining the bids. Center Road, east of I-271, and south of
the northern property line of all Midvale Avenue lots, from its office laboratory district and "
production-distribution district, to single family residential clistrict (U-4.). Introduced by Mayor
Pietrafese and Council as a Whole. (First Reading September 21, 1992)
Mr. Diemert said he recommends, based on comments he received from the Planning and Zoning
Commission and Council, that perhaps Council could make a motion to amend the ordinance. He
said there are some clean-up items, nothing substanrive: eliminating the U-4, changing it to U-1
(everywhere). In addition, Planning and Zoning felt that inirially, there should be some
clarification that this is a layercake zoning azea and that there is a single family residential zoning
already in the described territory that would remain the same.
