He <br />would be sending a memo to Council for the next caucus. <br />Cable Opinion Poll - Mayor Beebe said an opinion from the residents <br />will be requested in his next issue of the Voice of the Village. He <br />hoped the replies will be a guide for Council. <br />Mr. Bennett commen~.ed that Mr. Carmen had prepared a report on the <br />cable television matter and hoped all would make an effort to read <br />it. <br />Mr. Carmen stated he had received a letter from Mr. Avery in response <br />to his packet. Also, there is ,a non-profit organization available to <br />aid in the selection of the proper company. Himself and Mrs. Hanus <br />-are in agreement that the Cleveland Hgts. ordinance is the best thus <br />far. He ,did receive criticisfi from Mr. Avery, on this ordinance and <br />it is his opinion that due to Mrm Avery's interests with Via Com, per- <br />haps it would be better if Mr. Avery refrained from commenting until <br />such time that Via Com is out of the competition, if that be the case. <br />This is just to avoid the appearance of any questions on Mr. Avery's <br />behalf. Mr. Carmen stated that the Village is selling itself short <br />by working backwards. The Village should be sitting down and discussing <br />their policy regarding cable television and decide what they want, not <br />taking someone's proposal and try to determine if is satisfactory. <br />_J <br />Mr. Flynn suggested that Mr. Carmen take charge of the cable matter <br />for further research. Mr .. Carmen accepted the responsibility. <br />Mr. Bennett commented that when Via Com presented their proposal, Mr. <br />Avery stated that he would stay out of the matter and to his knowledge, <br />he has. He asked Mr. Carmen if he needed any assistance. <br />Mr. Carmen replied not as yet but would like to reserve the right to <br />call on someone later; this is a 15 year contract (franchise) and <br />would like to see the best deal possible for the Village. <br />Krenzler Zoning Request (Ordinance 79-80)- Mr. Feneli stated that the <br />matter has been filed with the Board of Elections and will be on the <br />June .3rd Ballot. <br />Mr. Feneli stated that the filing of Ordinance 80-9 had been an error. <br />DeBartolo Zoning Request (Ordinance 79-90) - A Public Hearing is <br />scheduled for March 17, 1980 at 7:45 P.M. Mr. Feneli inquired if <br />the hearing had been advertised and Mrs. Maynard replied that it had. <br />Bike Path - Mr. Bennett stated that the work would. be ;.done by-the <br />Service Department pending the available„dollars. <br />Ordinance 80-9, ,entitled: "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST OF MAY- <br />FIELD VILLAGE TO REZONE PERMANENT PARCEL N0. 831-13-11 LOCATED IN <br />MAYFIELD,~:OHIO, FROM OFFICE-LABORATORY TO RESIDENTIAL." Introduced <br />by Mayor and Council as a Whole. <br />
