~~~ <br />hearing is March 5, 1980 at 2:00 P.M. in Court Room 20-D. Judge Harry <br />Jaffney will preside. He is receiving calls on a daily basis from in- <br />terested parties on this suit, will probably be settling out of court; <br />but they will not dismiss the hearing date. <br />Mr. Bennett said he would like to be at. this meeting but will be <br />out of town until the 3rd or 4th. <br />~. ~~ , <br />Mr: Flynn commented that we are in .a better position now as Richmond <br />Heights is expressing.oposit~on to the proposed plant there. <br />Mr, Hovancsek said the dry weather sew.ag.e.is not the problem anyw~sy, <br />it's during the wet weather that 100/ more sewage creates the problem. <br />When Haven and Emerson did the study, they did not include this ,plant. <br />Chief Stevens invited everyone to visit the Police Department after <br />the meeting to see the new vehicle the Police Dept. has without getting <br />a Purchase Order or Council Approval. <br />Mr. .Carmen questioned the status of an ordinance regarding the addition <br />of a new policeman.- Mr, Bennett stated it was in committee. Mr. Carmen <br />also asked for a Resolution of &ppreciation to Mrs. Wiley for .her dona- <br />tion. Mr. Bennett and Mayor Beebe commented this donation was to have <br />been anonymous - Chief Stevens•replied.,that he had spoken to Bobbi this <br />afternoon and she changed her mind.. about keeping it a se~eret. <br />Mr. Flynn questioned where the funds would come from to pay .for the <br />$100,000. modification to the Wilson Mills Road Paving Project. Mr. <br />Hovancsek repriced that the modification .is .removing the base and re- <br />placing,the entire project. It is 75/ Federal Funded and 25/ is from <br />the $5.00 License Fee monies. <br />Mr. Beauty said he was engaged in a compliance program from R.I.T.A. <br />With 50/ complete, he has netted $1.,600..00 thus far. This is in <br />regard to those people who did~not file their city income tam. <br />-' Mr. Feneli stated~he was in the process of preparing an ordinance to <br />increase the penalty for not filing.
