~~~ hearing is March 5, 1980 at 2:00 P.M. in Court Room 20-D. Judge Harry Jaffney will preside. He is receiving calls on a daily basis from in- terested parties on this suit, will probably be settling out of court; but they will not dismiss the hearing date. Mr. Bennett said he would like to be at. this meeting but will be out of town until the 3rd or 4th. ~. ~~ , Mr: Flynn commented that we are in .a better position now as Richmond Heights is expressing.oposit~on to the proposed plant there. Mr, Hovancsek said the dry weather sew.ag.e.is not the problem anyw~sy, it's during the wet weather that 100/ more sewage creates the problem. When Haven and Emerson did the study, they did not include this ,plant. Chief Stevens invited everyone to visit the Police Department after the meeting to see the new vehicle the Police Dept. has without getting a Purchase Order or Council Approval. Mr. .Carmen questioned the status of an ordinance regarding the addition of a new policeman.- Mr, Bennett stated it was in committee. Mr. Carmen also asked for a Resolution of &ppreciation to Mrs. Wiley for .her dona- tion. Mr. Bennett and Mayor Beebe commented this donation was to have been anonymous - Chief Stevens•replied.,that he had spoken to Bobbi this afternoon and she changed her mind.. about keeping it a se~eret. Mr. Flynn questioned where the funds would come from to pay .for the $100,000. modification to the Wilson Mills Road Paving Project. Mr. Hovancsek repriced that the modification .is .removing the base and re- placing,the entire project. It is 75/ Federal Funded and 25/ is from the $5.00 License Fee monies. Mr. Beauty said he was engaged in a compliance program from R.I.T.A. With 50/ complete, he has netted $1.,600..00 thus far. This is in regard to those people who did~not file their city income tam. -' Mr. Feneli stated~he was in the process of preparing an ordinance to increase the penalty for not filing. ' Mr. Bennett extended appreciation to Councilmen.Carinen and Spellman for the extra work they have been doing re recreation and cable tv.
