I, ~~ ®. r 1 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL Village of Mayfield March 10, 1980 The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in special session on Monday, March 10, 1980 at 8:10 P.M. i_n the Village Hall. President Alan Bennett presided. Roll Call; Present: Messrs., Bennett, Flynn, Carmen, Mrs. Hanes and Miss Trask • Absent: Messrs., Boger and Spellman Also Present Were:. Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Beatty, Hovancsek and Feneli ' Mr. Bennett stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider litigation and financial matters. An Executive Session was held at 8:12 P.M. The meeting, reconvened at 9:05 P.M. 1 Mr. Bennett stated that some financial legislation did not materialize but the matter was discussed at great length. Mayor Beebe requested Council's approval of a Proclamation of Apprecia- tion to the Red Cross declaring March as Red Cross month. Mrs. Hanes, seconded by Mr. Carmen, made a•motion to approve the Proclam- tion. There being no objections, approval was given. Mr. Hovancsek stated that he had reviewed the information for the Regional Planning Commission with regard to funding for park and recreation facil- ities. He has given the Mayor a rough draft with his remarks. There are a few questions that he was unable to, at~s~uer and should be handled by ' the Mayor. This form has to be in the Regional Planning Commission's hands by Wednesday. He-would deliver the original to Mrs. Martin to- morrow for expediting. Discussion was held re tYie.items~that could be part of the package which could be of assistance ;in the entrance to the new service building. Mr. Hovancsek remarked that~he included all that was possible with an esti- mate of $100,000.00 for the project. 1 Council as a Whole agreed that if no strings, were attached, by~~all means this form should be sent with Steve's and the"Mayor's'input:` Meeting recessed at 9:15 P.M.
