<br />~O~ <br />.~ <br />r`. i <br />iance.Request that came before the Council Board of Appeals earlier <br />this evening; the meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M. <br />Recreation/MARC - Mr. Spellman commented a meeting will beheld Wednesday. <br /> <br />Safety and Service - Mr.,Flynn reported on a meeting of the Volunteer <br />Firemen's.Pension Fund Board held at 7:30 P.M., Monday, March 10th. The <br />$360.00 liability was a matter of discussion with Mr. Feneli to evaluate <br />P.E.R.S. vs Pension Funds for Part Time men. (Schwenker spelling corrected) <br />Mr. Feneli asked when Mr. Flynn needed this information. ~.-~~Mr. F~lyrin~~_ <br />stated as soon as possible; also, he would like Mr. Feneli~to check to <br />see if the time worked by the Part Time men can be accrued if they would <br />become full time. <br />Discussion was held on the $360.00 liability. <br />Mr. Flynn reported .on the meeting of the Safety and Service held on March <br />3, 1980 at. 7:30 P.M. <br />The committee is considering the clothing allowance for all Departments.~:~; <br />Community Building - Mr. Amendola had nothing to report on this building <br />but did comment the painting is coming along fine at the New Service Build- <br />ing. <br />Mr. Feneli commented that the Village is eligible for Community Block Funds <br />for the community center in the neighborhood of $12,000 to $15,000. These <br />projects have to be approved by H.U.D. He is waiting on a list of approved <br />projects and when received, he would circulate to Council. A decision will <br />have to be made as to how these monies will be spent. , <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />seta Sidewalks - Mr. Feneli stated Ghat Bond~Counsel has approved the Village' <br />procedure for the installation of these walks and all that is needed now is <br />authorization for Mr. Hovancsek to prepare plans and specs. His memo re <br />~?~his covers the procedure to follow. <br />discussion was held regarding the upfront monies. Mr. Feneli clarified <br />•~hat no upfront monies were needed. Mr. Hovancsek commented that due to <br />lack of work an the part of cement contractors, the companies on Beta Park <br />:gill most likely Contract the work themselves within the 30 day waiting <br />~:~eriod that 15 ~ec~~iired before it goes out for bid. It would be unfair to <br />assess his beds to those companies that did not have the work done themselves <br />~_izd suggestdd it $e pro rated. The Village would then be liable for the re- <br />maini~ig portion of his fee. <br />qtr:.
