Council
President, Alan Bennett presided. ,
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Boger, Carmen, Flynn,
Spellman, Mrs. Hanus and Miss Trask
Absent: None
Also Present: Mayor Beebe, Robert Beatty, Dale Feneli, Steve Hovancsek,
Chief Hejcl and Sgt. S:mi-rthna
Mr. Bennett welcomed Mr. Flynn back after his having open heart
surgery just two weeks ago.
OPEN PORTION:
Mr. Robert Grogan, 480 Oakton Circle, commented on a letter he had
received, along with Mr. Busa, re the finishing work to be done by
the Biondolillo Construction Company on Hickory Hill. Council author-
ized $22,000.00 of work to be done on this street last year which in-
cluded-just half of the street. He stated the other portion of the
street is down to the sub-base in spots and requested Council consider
this on their priority lists when doing the streets this summer.
Mr. Bennett, commented Mr. Hovancsek is presently reviewing the street
and road situation of the-Village and will keep this in mind.
Mr. Bob Cotton, 682 Meadowood, stated that he had been a resident for
approximately 15 years with $40,000 improvements being made within
those years to his home and property. About a year ago the Village contracted Zorn Construc-
tion to repair the sewer located on the easement adjacent to his prop-
erty. Since then it has deteriorated. If Council can picture trying
to mow over a waffle iron, they.cari get the picture of the condition
of his lawn which was caused by tractor tires on the sod lawn. The
side yard is a mess and snow fence has been put up to temporarily re-
place his fence he had to keep his dog in. His neighbor is about to
lose several shrubs at this site and would like some answers to these
questions.
(1;)- When will. the work resume? (2) How do I cut the grass? (3)
What are the Village's plans for completion?~ (4) When`'do they
anticipate the job being finished?
Mr. Hovancsek stated he had been in contact with the contractor in
