Introduced by,Mr. Flynn. ~. ~ ~. <br />Mr. Feneli clarified the ordinance to Council in that the cancellation <br />is of the existing mutual aid contract effective July 1, 1980. The <br />Mayor and Finance Director are then authorized to enter into a new <br />contract wYiich.reads :the same except for a fee to be charged for the <br />services. ~~ <br />Mayor Beebe stated that all our mutual aid contracts awe being <br />reviewed by the Law Department. The reason Gates Mills would be <br />charged for the service is because they do not have the manpower <br />nor the equipment to o~fdr mutual aid to the Village. <br />Mr..'<~Flynn stated that when one municipality becomes a burden, then <br />a fee has be be charged. Mayfield Heights has had a fee attached <br />to their agreement with 'Gates Mills for the past 5 years. <br />Mr. Feneli clarified that Gates Mills has the option to sign or <br />not sign. ,a new agreement. .,_ <br />Discussion was held on the benefits of having mutual aid with <br />Gates Mills. <br />
