24~ <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Bennett asked Mr. Beatty to explain the need for a public <br />hearing. <br />Mr. Beatty clarified that two hearings would have to be held <br />(1) To present the 1981 Budget to the public and (2) Revenue <br />Sharing. Legislation regarding the two matters will have.to <br />be passed prior to July 15, 1980. <br />Mr. Bennett stated notice of the public hearings has been posted <br />in the newspapers. One to be held at 6:30 P.M. and the other at <br />6:45 P.M. on July 14, 1980. A Special Meeting of Council would <br />be held at 8:00 the same date. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />Mayor Beebe commented that Chief Hejcl is absent because-he is <br />in Columbus getting the Ambulance repaired; Chief Stevens is <br />working on a classified matter. <br />Mayor Beebe commented he':had written to Mr. Aveni, of the Aintree <br />North Development, regarding the dead trees, as brought to <br />discussion by Mr. Macquard, as well as the landscaping. Also, <br />the condition of the concrete in the development has been placed <br />in the Law Department's hands and litigation is being planned. <br />Mayor Beebe asked for C9uncil's approval of a proclamation for <br />the Child Care Association on its 50th anniversary. He had <br />circulated a letter the Association had received from the U.S. <br />Senator Metzenbaum recognizing their contribution to handicapped <br />:children. <br />There being no objections, approval was given to the proclamation. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Mr. Bennett expressed appreciation to the Garden Club for their <br />donation for flowers in the Village - Mr. Amendola stated the <br />money would be used for the plantings around the marker at the <br />Wiley Memorial Park. <br />STANDARD COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola reported on the meeting <br />of June 19, 1980. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola stated there had been no deed <br />for a meeting. <br />Cemetery - Miss Trask reported the Trustee's had held a meeting <br />on May 24th and the Village had been represented by Mrs. Hanus. <br />Her report indicated those matters discussed were: increase the <br />Sexton's wage to $700.00 per year;' a $1,000 contribution from <br />Elisabeth Cannon which would be used for the care of the ceme-tery; <br />slate roof of crypt should be repaired soon; resale of lots is <br />
