~~ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COU:~TCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />July 21, 1980 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session on <br />Mon.d.ay, July 21, 1980 at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council <br />President Alan Bennett presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Carmen, Spellman, Flynn <br />and Miss Trask <br />Absent: Mrs. Hanus <br />Also Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Beatty, Amendola, Feneli, <br />Hovancsek and Chief Stevens <br />OPNN PORTION <br />There were no comments. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Regular Meeting of Council - June 25, 1980 - Mr. Bennett stated the <br /> minutes had been•corrected <br />stand as corrected. and there being no objections, the minutes <br /> Special Meeting of Council - July 2, 1980 - Mr. Bennett stated the <br /> minutes had been corrected and there being no objections, the minutes <br /> stand as corrected. <br />Special Meeting of Council - July 14, 1980 - Mr. Bennett stated the <br />minutes had been reviewed by him before they were circulated and <br />there being no corrections or objections, they would stand as written. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />Mayor Beebe stated_three representatives.from the Department of <br />Community Development were present at a meeting held in his office <br />last Thursday. Discussions were held on the feasibility of the <br />Village becoming a_.member of the HUD Group. If we choose to become <br />a member, an Ordinance would need to be drafted. One year after <br />passage of this legislation the Village would officially become <br />involved. At this meeting the matter of block grants were <br />discussed with regard to funds for the Co?nmunity Building project. <br />Mayor .Beebe reported the slate roof was now o•omplete on the vault <br />at -tlze Mayfield Union Cemetery-and requested a note of thanks be <br />sent to the installer, <br />Mayor Beebe commentdd that the Civil Service Chairman, Glen Booth, <br />had informed him the results from the recent Dispatcher Test should <br />be forthcoming. Also, the agility test for the firefighters will be <br />scheduled for August 23, 198~Oo <br />
