~~~ <br />j ~~ <br />Mayor Beebe introduced his new secretary, Mrs. Donna Clifton. <br />She will be replacing Mrs. Martin who will be working part time <br />in the Building/Service Department. Mrs. Martin is making this <br />change because she is expecting to receive a baby anytime now <br />through an adoption agency. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS: <br />~;r <br />Mr. Bennett stated the minutes of the Public Hearing held on <br />July 14, 1980 will stand as written. <br />Mr. Bennett commented the 5pecial_Meeting scheduled for- Wednesday, <br />July 23, 1980 is at 8000 P.M. Notices have been sent out. A <br />selection will be made at that time for the vacancy on Council. <br />STANDARD COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola reported on the meeting <br />held on Thursday, July 17, 1980 in the Building Department at the <br />new Service Center. Two homes were approved at 6747 and 6807 Wild- <br />wood Trail and a detached garage at 7097 Wilson Mills Road. The <br />Architectural Drawings for the Beta Joint Venture were submitted <br />late and the Board has agreed to move their August meeting up to <br />July 31, 1980 to accomodate this project as it will save about a <br />month's construction time. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola reported that no meeting had been held. <br />Cemetery - Miss Trask stated there was a need for Council to approve <br />an expenditure of no more than $200.00 for the Village's propor- <br />tionate share to pay for the fixing of the slate roof on the crypt <br />and the purchase of a lawn mower. <br />Council unanimously approved the expenditure of no more than $200.00. <br />Council of Councils - Mr. Carmen reported that due to his involvement <br />in the selection of a new Councilperson, he was unable to attend..the <br />last meeting of the Council of Councils. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn reported three items had been covered at their <br />last meeting; (1) Clothing Allowance for the Building, Fire and <br />Police Employees; (2) the addition of a firefighter; (3) sick leave <br />for the Fire Department Employees. <br />Mr. ,Bennett sta__ted the current pay ordinance would have a revision <br />with regard to the firemen's sickleave and be retroactive as of. <br />January 1, 1980. <br />Planxiinq and Zoning Commission - Mr. Carmen reported on the two <br />matters before the Commission; (1),The Euclid Industries Proposal <br />which was placed in abeyance due to lack of proper data and; (2) <br />Mr. Caplan's request for the elimination of concrete curbs and <br />sidewalks in his Hanoverwoods Development had been withdrawn. <br />Recreation/MARC - Mr. Spellman stated that due to his involvement <br />in the selection ,of a new councilperson, he was unable to attend <br />these meetings. <br />
