Council
President Alan Bennett presided.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
Roll Call: Present:
Absent:
Also Present: Mayor
Fenel
Chief
OPEN PORTION
Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Carmen, Flynn,
Spellman, and Miss Trask
Mrs. Hanus~/
Beebe, Gus Amendola, Robert Beatty, Dale
i, Steve Hovancsek, Chief Hejcl, and
Stevens.
Mr. Bi11 Marquardt, 6698 Wildwood Trail, stated he was back to
`- discuss the problem of traffic on Wildwood Trail.' He stated that
last month he was given an answer that more radar would be run;
however,. this is not acceptable because it does not show the
volume of traffic. He stated that he wrote a letter to the
residents of Aintree North and believed the residents deserved a
better answer. He would like to have the issue reopened and a
commitment as to when he could expect the matter to be resolved.
Mayor Beebe stated that we~have had a number of~surveys made, and
'having heard from all Department Heads, he suggested that additional
copies of these reports be run off. He stated that Aintree Drive
and Timberline Trail-are dedicated and-accepted streets, so they
are public roads. Additional traffic can be foreseen as phases two
and three happen and to cut off the area could .turn out to be some-
what of a problem. Also, this might give other areas in town the
idea that they would like their streets cut off too. Mayor Beebe
also stated that Ptl. Wheatcroft has made a study of the North
Aintree development by map and platt which dictates that phases
one, two and three ingress and egress will be out of Wildwood
Trail. It is important to know that the construction roads will
be built off of 5.O.M. Center.
Mr. Marquardt stated that the closing off of Zorn Lane was not
the only solution, there are other alternatives,
Mayor Beebe asked for another solution.
Mr. Marquardt stated that per the letter he just presented to
Council President, Alan Bennett, stop signs and traffic lights
