<br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />December 8, 1980 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session <br />on Monday, December 8, 1980 at 8:10 P.M. in the Village Hall, <br />pursuant to a written notice delivered to all Councilmen on <br />December 5, 1980. Council President, Alan G. Bennett presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Carmen, Flynn, <br />Spellman, Mrs. Hanus and Miss Trask <br />Abseizt: None <br />Also Present Were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Avery, <br />Hovancsek, and Mrs. Maynard <br />Mr. Bennett stated that the meeting had been called for the <br />purpose of discussing Cable Television, and that he would like <br />to amend the agenda to add discussion by Mr. Robert Schulte, <br />Chairman bf the Charter Review Commission. <br />Mr. Schulte stated the Charter Review Commission met on November <br />21, 1980 and he briefly described the items discussed at the <br />meeting. (1) Appointment of Dorothy J. Martin as Secretary to <br />the Charter Review Commission. (2) Regarding a Legal Advisor, <br />whether to hire outside help or the Law Director - (Mr. Avery) <br />(3) Request for advice from all Departments and Council regarding <br />any changes to be considered in the Charter. <br />Mr. Bennett stated it was his opinion that the Commission be able <br />to use the services of the Law Director, and asked Council for e <br />their opinion. <br />All members of Council agreed that the Law Director's services <br />could be used by the Charter Review Commission, rather than hiring <br />outside help. <br />Mr. Avery agreed that his services could be rendered to the <br />Charter Review Commission. <br />Mr. Schulte requested that Nir.. Avery .prepare a list o£ what <br />needs to be changed in the Charter, in terms of where the Charter <br />is silent, et cetera. <br /> Mr. Avery agreed to prepare the list of changes in the Charter <br /> for Mr. Schulte by the beginning of the year, <br />
