MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL Village of Mayfield December 8, 1980 The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session on Monday, December 8, 1980 at 8:10 P.M. in the Village Hall, pursuant to a written notice delivered to all Councilmen on December 5, 1980. Council President, Alan G. Bennett presided. Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Carmen, Flynn, Spellman, Mrs. Hanus and Miss Trask Abseizt: None Also Present Were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Avery, Hovancsek, and Mrs. Maynard Mr. Bennett stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of discussing Cable Television, and that he would like to amend the agenda to add discussion by Mr. Robert Schulte, Chairman bf the Charter Review Commission. Mr. Schulte stated the Charter Review Commission met on November 21, 1980 and he briefly described the items discussed at the meeting. (1) Appointment of Dorothy J. Martin as Secretary to the Charter Review Commission. (2) Regarding a Legal Advisor, whether to hire outside help or the Law Director - (Mr. Avery) (3) Request for advice from all Departments and Council regarding any changes to be considered in the Charter. Mr. Bennett stated it was his opinion that the Commission be able to use the services of the Law Director, and asked Council for e their opinion. All members of Council agreed that the Law Director's services could be used by the Charter Review Commission, rather than hiring outside help. Mr. Avery agreed that his services could be rendered to the Charter Review Commission. Mr. Schulte requested that Nir.. Avery .prepare a list o£ what needs to be changed in the Charter, in terms of where the Charter is silent, et cetera. Mr. Avery agreed to prepare the list of changes in the Charter for Mr. Schulte by the beginning of the year,
