She.stated she was happy to report the total in the Community Building Fund is $1,047.51. OLD BU5INESS Ordinance 80-69, entitled; "AN.ORDINANCE P,WARDING A CABLE . TELEVISION FRANCHISE TO VIACOM." Introduced by Fred Carmen. Mr. Carmeri s'tated there'are two additions to the original ordinance. (1) The Basic Subscription Rates, as-offered_to mnst cominunities, and a-special; 30_ day Intro_,. uctory Offer. (2) The Blank Acaeptance Fee, which if'acceptable to Council, Mr. Carmen felt that $500.00 would be reas.onable, based-on the ` number of homes who might be interested in recei.ving Cable Tblevision. Mr. Wilson,.representative of Viacom, explained that._the.ordinance calls for a 3/'Franchise Fee. He stated:that if, the-FCC allows `. the Franchise Fee to.be automaticall.y.`incr.eased to as much as 5/, the amount would.then be revieiaed.
