28 <br />Mr. Feneli stated if a committee was by Council as a Whole, <br />a member of Council would have to serve-as the Head of the " Committee, the logical head being Mr. Bennetto ' <br />Mr. Carmen stated that he would be interested in beirig the Head <br />of the Committee. <br />Mr. Busa stated that he would like to withdraw his suggestion <br />that the Mayor be the negotiating agent, and suggest that.it <br />beeMr. Bennett. Mayor Beebe stated"that to.him it cloesn't make a difference <br />whether the. committee be as Council as a. Whole., ' but he felt <br />there is'a missing link-to'this. He stated that we cannot <br />just say we will accept donations, th at he felt there sYiould <br />be some type of a plan.in order to help raise donations. <br />Mr. Carmen stated he agreed with Mayor Beebe arid that he woulcl <br />like to be the coordinating agent. <br />Mr. Bennett stated this matter would be discussed later. <br />NEW BUSINESS _ . _ _ ., ..._. . . .. <br />Resolution 81-10, entitled; "A RESOLUTION URGING THE GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY TO DEFEAT H.B. 31, FXPANDING THE LIABILITY OF MUNICIPAL <br />CORPORATIONS, AND THE MEMBERS.'OF THEIR SAFETY FORCES PERSONALLY, <br />FOR THE NEGLIGENT OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES." Introduced by <br />the. Mayor and Council as a Whole. `.Mr. Spellman, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to suspend <br />the rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three <br />separate occasions. . <br />Roll Call: AYES:'All <br />NAYS: None . Motion Carried <br />Rules Su:spetaded <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution 81-10. _ <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: -None Motion Carried <br />` Resolution Adopted <br />
