<br />Mr. Bennett questioned if there was any further discussion. <br />Mro Spellman questioned if this ordinance wasiintroduced by Council <br />as a Whole. <br />Mr. Bennett replied that it was. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Miss Trask, made a motion to pass Ordinance <br />81-17. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Street Stripinq Ordinance - Mayor Beebe stated that the ordinance <br />could not be prepared until bids are advertised for.. <br />Council.gave authorization for the advertisement of street stripIfig <br />bids. <br />Mayor Beebe stated the bid would be placed in two issues of a given <br />newspaper, the first to appear tomorrow. He stated that Council will <br />act on the lowest biddero <br />Bike Path - Mr'. Bennett stated that based on the Finance Meeting <br />held with Mrs. Ruggles-, and upon Mr. Amendola trho will be helping <br />with the project; the bike path will be started as soon-as possible. <br />Mr. Carmen asked what the approximate cost will be. <br />Mr. Bennett stated the approximate cost is $18,000.00 and that <br />$5,000,00 has already been authorized for the project. He stated <br />the path will be done in two phases and expects the first phase <br />to be completed before the season opens, which would allow the <br />path to be used until the second phase could be completed. He <br />stated the work of an outside contractor was required and the <br />Service Department will be doing the additional work needed. <br />He asked Mr. Amendola for an estimate of the cost to complete <br />the_ first phase. <br />Mr. Amendola stated the estimated the cost'of the first phase of <br />the bike path to be approximately $10,000.00. <br />Mr. Carmen questioned the status of the-traffic signal for Airitree <br />(Heinens). <br />Mr. Bennett stated that no firm decision has been made regarding <br />that project. <br /> <br /> <br />
