Y <br />? .:- <br />Mr. Feneli stated that the vote being a 3-3 tie, that the Mayor <br />has the option of casting his vote, however, he is not required <br />to do so. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that if it would not be out of order, that he <br />would like to take a short recess to discuss certain matters with <br />the Law Director that he had not had a chance to discuss before <br />the meeting started. <br />Council recessed at 8:00 P.M: <br />Council reconvened at 8:13 P.M. <br />Mayor Beebe thanked Council and guests for allowing the recess. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that Council chose two tremendous'candidates." <br />He stated that before making a decision, that he would like to <br />re-evaluate everything discussed tonight. He stated that he was <br />not aware of many things introduced in Mr. Avery's letter and he <br />would like to have an opportunity to discuss these matters_with <br />Mr. Avery. He requested that Council wait for his vote until the <br />Special Nieeting to be held during the Caucus of June 8th. <br />Mr. Feneli stated for the purpose of record, since the election <br />was a tie vote, that legally, he would turn to the Mayor for him <br />to cast_a vote if he so chose.to do so. He stated that he thought <br />the'Mayor was saying that'he is abstaining from voting tonight. <br />Mayor Beebe said that he guessed he.would tse that word and again <br />asked that he have until the Special Meeting of June 8th to make <br />a decision on his vote. Mr. Feneli stated that during the Special Meeting of June 8th, the <br />floor would again be open for nominations and another vote would <br />be taken. He stated that if the vote_remained a 3-3,tie; the Mayor <br />would again be'asked to break the tie.. He could choose to do so, or <br />to abstain. `. ` <br />Mayor Beebe stated that he did not realize the picture could change, <br />that the nominations and voting that took place at tonight's meeting <br />did not hold. <br />li Mr. Flynn asked Council if there was any objection to holding a <br />Special Meeting on June 8. <br />There were no objections. Mr. Flynn stated there will be a Special Meeting at 8:00 P.M. on <br />June 8th and asked for any other business to come before Council. <br />There was none. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:19 P.M.
