06 <br /> <br />Mayor Beebe stated tYiat the bike. path was, being .cut. and. we :have <br />the gravel, it was just a.matter of alloting,the time to do the. <br />works He statecl he expects within three weeks the"project will be <br />completed including the installation of pedestrian signs installed <br />500 feet on ei.ther side of:Wiley Parko . <br />Mayor Beebe reported the progress on the Arco property, that Mr.. <br />Amendola will,not be taking up all of the asphalt, that he will <br />be placing dirt over tYie asphalt and expects grass to be planted <br />within two weeks. _ <br />Mr..Busa commented'that he felt it would be difficult for grass <br />to survive above concrete. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that the wood..that.was saved from the Arco station will be used for the Salt Shed. He stated"that he was <br />very proud of our Service Department for all their effort on <br />the bike path etc.. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that there will be two openings on the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission. He stated that Mr. Richard-Etzler had <br />submi.tted his resignation. He stated that on July 13 at the Special <br />Council Meeting, a Mr. Ralph Newman will be present as a possible <br />replacement for Mr. Etzler to the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that Mr. Lazzaro., Chairman of the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission will be_resigning after the July.meeting. Mr. <br />Lazzaro, wil-l be oist-of town until next year on business. Mayor <br />Beebe-requested any'recommendations for another person to serve.on <br />the Commission. ` <br />Mayor Beebe stated that representatives from the Capital Insurance <br />Agency were at the Village Hall today and'that he wanted Council <br />to be_aware that he informed them that any selling of their insurance <br />must be presented to employees on.their tiem, this cannot be:_done_ <br />during Village time. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that he would like Mr. Avery to comment regarding <br />the Jehovah Witness matter. Discussion was held. <br /> <br />Mro Avery explained that,.,presently, our solicitation ordinance <br />does not include religious groups.. He stated that he had wr.itten <br />a letter to the Police Department explaining the matter and that <br />they should not enforce the solicitation ordinance against the <br />Johovah's Witnessesa <br />Mayor Beebe stated a decision should be made regarding Bruce Baylor <br />of Worker.'s Compensation who had made a pr.esentation.some..time ago.
