? <br />Mr. Flynn-stated the floor was.open for comments from Council. <br />There were no comments. <br />Mr.,Schulte explained why the.changes were made to the_Charter <br />and stated the two most controversial subjectswere the number <br />of Council people and the division of the Village into wards. <br />He stated,-tYiat -it was the consensus of 8-9 ,.Commission members. - <br />that having fewer members on Council,? which would.-provide a higher salary, and by being assigned to a particular ward,,.Council <br />might.be,more responsive to the residents. - - <br />Mr. Marrie stated that there were never more .than two Commission <br />members who_voted diff.erently on any issue. <br />Mro; Spellman_r:equested that;'Mr:: Hovancse,k..provide.
