Wheatcroft stated that he did talk to Wes Holden of C.E.I. <br />and was told they would not be able to use the poles. <br />Steve Hovancsek to check further with Wes Holden of C.E.I. regarding <br />the use of the poles as it would save approximately $1,700.00. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if Council wished to put the ordinance on first <br />reading t.o allow for further investigation. <br />Mr. Etzler questioned if the ordinance was passed tonight, if we <br />still would be able to eliminate the poles at a later date. <br />Nr. Hovancsek stated that it could be done if the ordinance was <br />passed contingent upon that. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated he felt a meeting should be held with Wes <br />Holden, the Mayor, Ptl. Wheatcroft and Yiimself to discuss the <br />matter further. <br />Mr. Hovancsek requested a set of prints for the job. <br />Ptl. Wheatcroft to see that he receives a copy. <br />Ordinance 81-56, entitled; 'AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />AT THE INTERSECTION OF S.O.M. CENTER ROAD AND AINTREE PARK DRIVE <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by the b7ayor and Council <br />as a Whole. <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Miss Trask, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to pass Ordinance <br />81-56. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if Council had any comments for discussion regarding <br />? this ordinance. <br />Mr. Etzler asked if the ordinance is to be passed including the <br />alternate, which is a total amount of $31,521.04 and what function <br />the alternate has. <br />Pt.l. Wheatcroft explained that the alternate will provide coordination <br />between the new signal and the signal at Wilson Milss, and would <br />provide more functions in the future.
