Introduced by the Mayor and.Council as <br />a li'hole. <br />Mr. Flynn stated we do not have the complete input from Mr. Feneli <br />regarding a list of what is to be included for-the Policeman's <br />uniform allowance, so Council may wish to put the ordinance on <br />first reading. <br />Discussion was held, and Council agreed. <br />Ordinance 81-55 put on first readi-ng. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Mr. Flynn stated there were tYiree bids submitted for the installation <br />of a traffic signal on S.O.M. Center Road at Aintree Park Drive. He <br />stated Ptl. Wheatcroft of our Traffic Department recommends the contract <br />be awarded to Traffic Control Products, asking Ptl.Wheatcroft if we <br />have dealt with that company before. He stated bSrs. Ruggles said we <br />do not have the funds.to cover the original note using Crouse Hinds <br />equipment and the alternate listed. <br />Ptl. 1Nheatcroft stated that Traffic Control Products has done signal <br />maintenance work f.or us,.satisfactorily. He stated they were mainly a <br />supplier until the past two years when they started doing contract <br />work. He stated they have done work for the State and Cuyahoga County, <br />such as Ridgebury and Lander. <br />Mro Flynn stated that idr. Feneli has not yet prepared tne ordinance, <br />suggesting if there were no objections from Council, that the ordinance <br />be passed in title. <br />Miss Trask questioned how the traffic loo.ps are put in, how long it <br />will take and how much traffic congestion it wiJl cause. <br />Ptl. Wheatcroft explained how the loops are put in and that it takes <br />approximately 1- 12 hours to put one in. <br />Mr. Flynn asked Mrs. Ruggles if we have the funds. <br />Mrs. Ruggles stated.the funds are available. <br />Mr. Hovancsek asked Ptl. Wheatcroft if he had talked to C.E.I. to , <br />see if it would be possible for us to use the existing poles in <br />the area. <br />
