1D. ,^ 4 <br />Planning & Zoning - There was no report as Mr. Busa was absent. <br />Recreation & M.A.R.C. - Mr. Spellman stated that the Recreation <br />Committee will be holding a Halloween Party on October 24th at <br />the Service Building at 5:00 P.M. <br />Safety & Service - Miss Trask stated Safety and Service did not <br />meet this month. <br />Community Building - Mrse Hanus stated their latest money-raising <br />project is a Turkey Raffle which will be held on November 21, and <br />they will be raffling off 25 turkeys. She stated they are also <br />selling tickets for a separate drawing, winner need not be present. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Ordinance 81-54, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING MORTON SALT <br />CO. AND INTERNATIONAL SALT C0. AS THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDERS FOR <br />THE SALE OF ROAD SALT TO THE MUNICIPALITY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by the Mayor and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Spellman questioned the amount of the contract. <br />Mr. Amendola stated he has received a price of $17.35/ton from one <br />company and $17.85/ton from another company, and will probably be <br />ordering a total of 600 tons for one year. <br />Mrs. Hanus, seconded by Miss Trask, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Miss Trask, made a motion to pass Ordinance <br />81-54. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if there were any further comments for discussion. <br />There were none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />
