i56 <br />Mayor Beebe stated he felt this sale was a good idea to <br />benefit the Community Room Building but it could be precedent <br />setting. He questioned how the records of tree sales wouTd <br />be kept as our profits are by the number of trees sold. <br />Mrs. Hanus explained that.the parties must report each time <br />they bring in more trees to sell. <br />Mr.:Carmen statedthat healso felt this could be precedent <br />setting. He stated there is a clause in the resolution to <br />possib.ly eliminate future problems; "whereas the Mayor and <br />Council have determined that it is in the best interests of <br />the community to permit said sale...". He stated this would <br />permit us to say we feel a certain sale is not in the best <br />interest of the Village and therefore n'ot allow it. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Flynn stated he would like a motion from Council author- <br />izing the.payment of the Deloitte, Haskins and Sells bill <br />which was agreed to in Caucus. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to <br />authorize the allocation of funds to pay the Deloitte, Haskins <br />and Sells bill in the amount of $1,250.00. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Garried <br />Allocation to be made <br />Mr. Flynn stated he would like a motion authorizin.g the.allocation <br />of.funds for the repair of Beecher's Brook in the amount.of <br />$2,000.00. <br />Mr. Busa stated he felt this ordinance is precedent setting. <br />Mr:. Flynn stated he agreed, but our safety vehicles could incur <br />damage close to the cost of repair if they had to use the road <br />in the case of an emergency. <br />Mr. Etzler asked Council how long the annual patching of Beecher'S <br />Brook and Beech Hill will continue, as there could be no end. He <br />suggested a letter be written to those residents informing them <br />the Village will no longer maintain these roads, that it should <br />be the homeowners responsibility in the form of assessment. <br />? <br /> <br />
