f"'1 <br />r: ? .. <br />Mayor Beebe stated if it was the wish of Council he would ask <br />Dale Feneli to compose a letter but he wants to remind Council <br />we must be siricere. He stated we are talking abou.t two areas, <br />Beech Hill and Beecher's Brook. He asked Mr. Hovancsek the <br />approximate amount we would have to put up as "front money" if <br />the decision is made to assess the homeowners. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated.that we would be,requi:red to pay a 2% <br />minimum on the amount assessed. He stated tlzat the-Beecher's <br />Brook area has no intersections and therefore our share would <br />be approx.imately.$1,600.00. He stated the Beech Hill area has <br />intersections involved and the cost would be over the 2%. Mr. <br />Hovancsek explained how the procedure is handled with the bank <br />etc., that we are repaid for this cost with the payment of the <br />assessment. <br />Mr. Spellman suggested Mr. Hovancsek submit a report to the <br />Finance Committee.of the estimated cost and it would be discussed <br />and a decision made at the.next Caucus. <br />Mr. Carmen statecl he did not feel the allocation of funds should <br />be delayed but agreed a letter to the re.sidents informing them <br />"this would be the last time" is a good idea. <br />Discussion was held.regard:ing the dedication and acceptance of <br />the streets. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated that Mr. Byrnes (former Law Director) made <br />a study on this several years ago and he suggested Mr. Feneli <br />be given a copy of this material. <br />I.n view of weather conditions, pending review by the h4ayor and <br />Law Director, Council agree.d to the allocation of funds for the <br />repair of Beecher's Brook in the amount of $2,000.00. <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Councilwoman Shiela Hanus and Councilman Michael Spellman to meet <br />with Pat Minor regarding Phone Company matters on Thursday, <br />November 19. They will submit their recommendations for changes, <br />etc. at the next Council Caucus. <br />Mr, Busa proposed that a fence be put up around the Arco <br />preperty. He stated per Mr. Amendola the cost would be <br />approximately $4.00 per foot, or a total of $900.00. This <br />matter also to be discussed at the next Caucus. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:12 p.m.
