Regular Council Meeting <br />2-17-97 <br />Page -3 <br />Mr. Hovancsek arrived at this time. (8:20 p.m.) <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Par-ker said the next meeting wi.ll-be-he1d 1VIar-ch 15. <br />Everyone should have received a memo in the mail and should RSVP. <br />Historical Societv - Dr. Parker reported the Saturday work crew returned to the job last month. <br />Work is beginning in the basement with the Log Cabin. A new peg rail for clothing and a shelf <br />has been added to the bedroom on the first floor. The whiffletree for the hearse has been <br />mounted on the wall in the house room. They have started having an Open House on the third <br />Sunday of every month from 14 p.m. <br />M.A.R.C. - There was no report; Mr. Buckholtz was absent. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Samac said they met on the 12' and reviewed and came up <br />with an additional paragraph on the ordinance regarding selling cars and signs. The maximum <br />sign size is 6 square feet on or immediately adjacent to the vehicle: It will be discussed at the <br />P&Z Workshop on the 20t'. <br />Planning & ZoninZ - Mr. Samac reported for Mr. Ferrante who was on vacation. Two issues <br />were addressed at the February 3' meeting: D.O. Summers and Stanley Air Tools. Both <br />companies gave presentations at the Council Caucus. Legislation is included on tonight's <br />agenda for temporary office trailers for Stanley Tools. <br />Recreation - Council President Fixler reported for Mr. Buckholtz. He said we had a presentation <br />on the camp situation the last time we were here. It is a very fruitful situation and is sure <br />everyone is looking forward to Mr. Dasher's camp. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mayor Rinker said we have been talking about some homeowner <br />projects and we have to renew discussion with the high school on the detention facility. <br />North Countv Line - Update <br />Mr. Cappello said the contractor should be done with the main line by the end of this month. <br />We made them aware that there has been some problem with the streets not being as clean as <br />they should be. Our office has contacted the contractor again and written another letter. We <br />have also spoken with the police department and they have spoken with the superintendent yvho <br />said they have to be more diligent in cleaning up.
