Regular Council Meeting <br />2-17-97 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"Old Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />Police Annex Expenditures - Mrs. Cinco said Council received in their packet this week the <br />bundle on all the expenses that were presented to Safety and Service. For all the police <br />annexation projeets. (farniture and lockers) it is Foughly $20,000. It is all state bidding-pretty <br />much like the fire station furniture and everything can be moved to a new facility. <br />Council President Fixler asked Chief Stevens if he, feels this completes whatever needs he has <br />for the annex. <br />Chief Stevens said this is the bulk of it but it does not include items such as chair mats, coat <br />racks and office supplies. <br />Mayor Rinker said we are physically expanding space the police has needed. <br />W. Fenante asked if these expenses are included in the budget. <br />Mr. Brett said he believes they are included in the capital fund. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to approve the following three items: <br />¦$3,100 for office furniture for dispatch/communications from Costigan's <br />¦$6,000 for office furniture for sergeant/patrolman's offices from Costigan's <br />¦$8,000 for lockers from genco Products, Inc. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Chief Stevens said he was asked to report back on the lease of a copy machine. The lease on a <br />model they would find satisfactory would be $1,490 for the remainder of the year with a$600 <br />maintenance package for a total of $2,090 a year.
