Regular Council Meeting <br />4-28-97 <br />Page 2 <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />1VIr. Metzung said he hopes everyone goes through Village Hall to see the renovation of the <br />former Council Chambers. He apologized for not having the information for the I'inance <br />Committee about the loader that is on tonight's agenda. If Council should choose to wait until <br />next month, that would be fine with him. <br />Mr. Cappello gave an update on the IVorth County Trunk Line project. (He talked to the <br />contractor last week.) The contractor has a few more sections on the main line to be tested and a <br />few more connections to be made across S.O.M. Center. Once that is completed, the contractor <br />plans to begin work on the bike path. Work should begin in mid-Nday and should be done by mid- <br />June, weather pernutting. Bids on phase two are to be opened May 9`h; they hope to begin <br />construction in July. <br />Lt. Girbino said we have our new rescue pumper. It should be in service by the end of the first <br />week in May. <br />Mr. Brett said he distributed a revised report of the actual construction cost-the revised <br />assessments for the Worton Park Sanitary Sewer. We will discuss this under "New Business." <br />He also asked that consideration be given to a back payment to PERS. <br />STANDING GUMIVIITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Miss Heath said the committee will be meeting this Wednesday and next <br />Wednesday. They are finalizing plans for the Pancake Brealcfast. If anyone hasn't signed up yet, <br />a few volunteers are still needed-especially later in the afternoon. Everyone is welcome .to <br />attend the meetings. <br />Architectural Review Board - There was no report. <br />Board of Appeals - There was no report. <br />Cemeterv - Dr. Parker said they will be meeting in May. Some of their plans for discussion <br />include new lighting in the cemetery, repair of headstones and markers, etc. <br />Citizen's AdvisorX Board - Mayor Rinker said we did not meet last month. A meeting will <br />probably be scheduled in May. <br />Commission on Aginsz - Mr. Busa read the report from the Human Services Director. (Attached <br />as an excerpt to the minutes.)
