Regular Council Meeting
6-16-97
Page 10
Mayor Rinker said P&Z felt it could only deal with what was presented to it. He thinks this
should be discussed now and Mr. Hall could be notified.
Mr. Marquardt said it seemed like P&Z thought it was a good idea but that Council would have
to take up the issue.
Everyone looked at a copy of the zone map.
Mayor Rinker said the first property is Euclid Industries. They sent us a letter saying not only
would they not object to the change to a commercial zone, but would love it. The third property
as you head east is Mr. Hall's. It would seem logical because there is no residential on SOM at
the Wiley Park site and our service area abuts.
Mr. Samac said he would be happy to approach 1VIr. Hall.
Mr. Diemert gave a map to each member of Council. He said Council could make a motion this
evening to include those two properties (Euclid Industries and Hall) in the preamble, the first
whereas and in section one. A copy of the map will be included as Exhibit A.
Mr. Samac said there are two separate parcels. The Hall property goes back about 600-700'.
There is a property line there. The property we would be rezoning is about 500' ui depth-so in
essence we would be creating a zone line that is a little bit contrary to the properly line itself.
Mrs. Cinco said then one parcel would have 2 different zones.
Mr. Diemert explained it is better than ma.king uneven zoning lines.
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to amend Ordinance No. 97-25 to
include the two parcels owned by Euclid Industries and Mr. Hall. (Permanent parcel numbers:
831-11-031 and 831-12-003.)
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Amended
*First Readirig. of Ordinance No. 97-26, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing the Mayor
and Council President to enter into a contract with Concord Road Equipment Co. in an amount
not to exceed $9,910.00 for the purchase of a four ton asphalt hot box."
