Regular Council Meeting <br />6-16-97 <br />Page 12 <br />Mr. Metzung said he will see if they can straighten them up. <br />N1r. Busa asked about the hole at the corner or SOM and White roads. It is an area abaut 10' x <br />30' wide. Years ago, Howard Schulz told him there was an artesian well there. He suggested <br />their bond be held. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked about the problem on Wilson Nlills-it is continually wet theze seems to be a <br />problem with erosion. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said he wrote a letter to Gates Mills about a month ago. Mr. Pesuit said he would <br />talk to the Mayor and Council. Nlr. Hovancsek explained the problem which has continued for <br />years. They will have to eventually build a restraining wall to prevent the hillside ?'?om continuing <br />to slide. <br />Mayor Rinker suggested we send them a letter of our understanding and ask their p1an and <br />timetable (in writing.) <br />Mayor Rinker said as far as Phase One of the North County L'me, when we have gone into each <br />neighborhood, we have had a way of canvassing residents. He asked if we need to get a letter out <br />to the residents. He would like to have a more specific timetable-as far as restoration-for <br />everyone there. We must deal with Phase Two when the work is done in the Mt. Vernon dip. He <br />asked the status proposed for Phase II. He would like make plans for a meeting for residents <br />along SOM and VVhite roads. <br />Mayor Rinker said there is a meeting on June 23 to talk about drainage at Gates Mills. He <br />requested Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Brett and Mr.1Vletzung attend. He wants to be sure we are <br />apprised of what is going on. <br />1Vlayor Rinker asked about the Bonnieview site. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the swales are not in accordance with the plan. Marc Kritzer was to get to <br />Independence Contractors. <br />NIr. Ferrante questioned the upkeep of the ditches in his area. <br />Mayor Rinker suggested a letter be sent to the Thornapple/Walnut residents reminding them it is <br />their responsibility to ma.intain their ditches. <br />Mayor Rinker said the meeting date with ODOT for the sound barriers has not been set. <br />Mayor Rinker said we are getting estimates from CEI for new street lighting through their IVight <br />Vision Program plan.
