Regular Council Meeting <br />7-7-97 <br />Page 3 <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the board approved an addition to a single-family <br />dwelling at their last meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting (no agenda items.) <br />Cemeterv - There was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Baard - Mrs. Cinco said she was unable to attend and would defer to Mayor <br />Rinker. <br />Mayor Rinker said they discussed the status of the northwest quadrant. The Committee wants to <br />coordinate getting information out to residents. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa read the report submitted by the Hiiman Services Director. (A <br />copy is attached to the minutes:) <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the committee met this evening. They discussed and <br />recommended the following: purchase of an asphalt hot box, asphalt from Kenmore Construction, <br />and street striping (on tonight's agenda.) They also discussed the bike path and the memo from <br />Mr. Metzung concerning reducing the was#e pile. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the committee met this evening and recommended <br />approval of the following: insurance, street striping, purchases of hot box and asphalt. They aLso <br />discussed cabinets for the Community Room. Mr. Marquardt said he would like to see the room <br />finished-with carpeting, etc. before cabinets are installed. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said he was unable to attend the meeting and asked Mr. <br />Marquardt to bring Council up to date. <br /> <br />Mr. 1Vlarquardt said they met Saturday, June 21. There was a-presentation by the police chiefs on <br />S.P.A.N. The fire chiefs will present their combined continued services at the September meeting. <br />Historical Society - Dr. Parker reported the Vintage Bridal Gown Display is over. The Ice Cream <br />Social will be held in the pavilion at Wiley Park on September 10. _ <br />M.A.R.C. -1Vir. Buckh4ltz said they will be meeting Thursday. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the committee will meet tomorrow evening. <br />Ph%uung and Zoning - Mr. Ferrante said the Commission met this evening. Discussion was held <br />about Progressive's parking request. It was tabled for further discussion.
