Regular Council Meeting <br />10-20-97 <br />Page 3 <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said there will be a meeting this Saturda.y. Any member <br />of Council is welcome to attend. He is unable to attend and has spoken to them about setfing a <br />schedule in advance. <br />Historical Societv - Dr. Parker said they will be decorating the Historic House for the holidays. <br />They plan to have it ready for the November 16 Sunday Open House and Tour through the <br />December holidays. Their fourth wedding ceremony was held at the house last Saturday. Work is <br />still progressing on the Log Cabin in the basement. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Buckholtz said M.A.R.C. met on October 9. Midget football that started this <br />year was a great success. They hope to get a computer class started for the next session. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Samac said they met October 14 and discussed the <br />ordinances before us on first reading. They also briefly diseussed the ISO audit at the Building <br />Department coming in 1998. <br />, Planning and Zo- Mr. Ferrante said there was a workshop meeting October 16 which he <br />could not attend. Discussion was held in reference to the ordinances on the agenda tonight. <br />Planning and Zoning iulani_mously recommended them to be passed. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said the Recreation Board met with Jim Dasher last <br />Wednesday. They are planning to go ahead with the summer camp next year with a few changes. <br />There will be one camp that won't be separated into sports and drama. Regarding fall basketball, <br />we were contacted by the_ school and we will now be required to pick up all the costs associated <br />with custodial services ($75 per hour). A letter from the Recreation Director will go out to all <br />teams. It will still be a great deal when we break it down to what peopie will be paying. The <br />Halloween Party is this Saturday from 1-2:30 in the Community Room. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz ha.d no report. <br />OLD BITSINESS . <br />Status Report - 6039 RidgebM - Mr. Metzung said he has been unable to reach Dennis Gould. <br />He doesn't know anymore since he received the letter. We need to find out from Mr. Gould how <br />they are looking for these problems. When the problems were first brought to light from Mrs. <br />Graharn, they had a plan. <br />Mayor Rinker asked if the cross-connections are something new. <br />Mr. Ferrante said he notices an odor from the sewers when he drives by Brainard and VVilson <br />Mills.
