Regular Council Meeting <br />10-20-97 <br />Page 2 <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPOR'TS <br />Service '- Mr. Metzung said #he summer road and sewer repair programs are done. If anyone is <br />aware of any work that still needs done, let him know. <br />STANDING COMNIITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Raman said the Holida.y Tree Lighting Ceremony will have a new <br />theme: the 12 Days of Christmas. All of the decorations will all be placed on the tree inside the <br />gazelo. The next Cammittee meeting will be held on the first Wednesda.y in November. <br />(November 5.) <br />Mayor Rinker said we will still have the trees ringing the gazebo with the white lights but they will <br />not be decorated. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said two homes were appmved at their last meeting- <br />one on S.O.M. Center and one at the corner of Ridgebury and Lander. They had no agenda items <br />for the October 9"' meeting. <br />Boazd of Appeals - Mr. Samac said the meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening was canceled. <br />He has notified everyone of the cancellation. , <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Cinco said children from the 9`" grade will be working witfi the Garden Club <br />tomorrow. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said there will be a meeting Monday at 8 p.m. <br />Commission on Ajzim- See report attached to the-minutes. <br />Safety,and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the committee met October 6 and discussed the phone <br />system in the Ad.ministration building. They ha.ve requested Chief Mohr keep us urformed in <br />evaluating and analyzing the system. They discussed the texturing of the surface portions of <br />Wilson Mills Road for safety. Mr. Metzung will look into this. They also discussed air <br />conditioning units for the police annex which is on the agenda this evening. They cliscussed many <br />items regarding the Service Department which are all on the agenda. <br />Finance Committee - Mrs. Cinco said all of the items were discussed in Finance Committee and <br />Caucus. The committee recommended passage of all of them. (See Finance agenda) Mrs. Cinco <br />said regarding Pinnacle Contractors, Doug advised it will be a 2-day job; all work vvill be done <br />inside; they will need one day to take down and one to put up. We need more infonnation on the <br />Blueberiy Circle storm sewer.
