Regular Council Nieetizag 11-17-97 Page 10 Turnqut Gear for the Fire Department Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to authorize the purchase of eight (8) sets of turnout gear in an amount not to exceed $8,928 from All American ]Fire Equipment, Inc. (These are 1995 prices.) Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Frojector Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized Mrs. Cinco said the Finance Committee discussed the projector for the use with our project presentation. The Finance Committee recommends investigating borrowing a unit from Progressive. Cruise Mir. Brett said it is a 3-night; 4-day cruise. .Airfare is not included. Mrs. Cinco asked Council's feeling in doing a combination rafile (between the Fire ]Department and the School.) She also asked Chief Mohr's thoughts. Chief 1Viohr said the Fire Department barrows a fire safety house every year to take to the elementary school. They have been asked to expand that to St. Fra.xYCis since Village children attend St. Francis. They can't get the Cuyahoga County safety home when they need it. They literally apply for the home a year in advance. The condition of the house, because of its use, is getting quite nappy. The Department is trying to raise funds (through aluminum cans etc.) to purchase its own house. Nfrs. Cinco asked if the Fire Department would be able to network on its own. Mr. Brett said perhaps they could follovv up with the principal of Center School. A motion to consolidate pareet 803 Meaclowwiew i.ane with Block A for Mark and K.D. Lomgo Mr. Sama.c said this was discussed at a Caucus rneeting several weeks ago. This is a iot down at the end of Meadovwiew tha.t encompasses a good part of a gully. The property owner wants to consolidate it in order to clear some open areas. It was discussed and approved by Planning and Zoning and the Engineer.
