Regular Council Meeting 11-17-97 Page 9 L Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to authorize the purchase of one 1998 Ford Crown Victoria sedan pursuant to state bidding in an amount not to exceed $22,000. Mrs. Cinco said Safety & Service Committee recommended approval of this item. The committee approved the purchase of one sedan and going out to bid for one 4x4 sport utility vehicle. Chief Stevens said they are only in dire need to replace one car immediately. The secondary issue is to get a larger 4x4 vehicle and the Service Department will take over the old one. The actual purchase price will be slightly under $20,000. The higher figure was used because of unforeseen conditions.
