Regular Cotzncil Meeting_
11-17 97
Page 4

Mxs. Cinco requested Council amend the agenda to include Progressive's request to store fill dirt
on the Parkview Golf Course property and an Executive Session (per Mr. Brett's request) to
discuss personnel matters.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to amend the agenda to include the two
items mentioned above.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motian Carried
Agenda Amended
Progressive Insurance - Dirt Mound
Mr. Sheehy of Chagrin Valley Engineering was in the audience. He said Progresstve would like
to install a temporary stockpile on the Parkview Gcslf Course property. He met with Mr.
Hova.ncsek earlier today. He had a number of commerrts regarding the plan: He was able tn
address most of the comments later today. There were a few items tha.t Mr. Hovancsek had
requested that are not currently-on the plans. Mr. Sheehy had distributed copies of the plans
showing the configuration of how the dirt would be stored.
Mr. Hovancsek said he and Tom Cappello reviewed the plans with Mr. Sheehy. They made
several recommendations. The recommendations they made have generally Ueen followed. He
does not see the_outret from the temporary sediment basin over to the pond as having lzeen
installed. That will have to be completed. Also, the cross-overs of the temporary haul road with
the roadside ditches must be added. Those are not on the plan and should be added prior to
approval.
Mrs. Cinco asked what it would look like from S.O.M.
Mr. Hovancsek said it will sez back abvut 800' from S.O.M. Center Road. It will be on the west
side of S.O.M. Center Road just south of the pond by hole #9 where you go back into the
clubhouse. If you look at the gravei parking lot that is north of the clubhouse, where the
driveway goes in, tlvs would be an extension of that driveway. It will go into an azea m the back
and it will be approximately 14' high_ He made them put a clause in that the temporary stockpile
will only be allowed to be in for a one-year period. Also, they will have a fence around it. They
have set up a temporary sediiment basin and from there they ha.ve to put a catch basan in and guide
the water out to that pond by the 9`h hole. That would be the storm outlet at this point in time.
He talked to them about putting pipes in and ma.intaining positive drainage along the temporary
haul road. Those items were discussed but they haven't had time to include the design on their ?
plans yet. Mrs. Cinco asked if Council has questions.
