Regular Council Meeting 12-&97 Page 2 DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS Service - Mr. Metzung said leaf pick-up will continue if and when the snow melts: Council President Fixler asked when the Village will get to the point of having to send out a notice that residents must bag the leaves. 1Vlr. Metzung said the Service Department will attempt to get everything that is on the curb now. He does not expect to shut doum leaf removal until mid-winter. 1Vlayor Rinker said the leaf collection previously ended at Thanksgiving weekend. Fina.nce - Mr. Brett said he distributed the temporary appropriation ordinance for 1998. This will carry through the Village through March 31, 1998 until the first of many permaneilt appropriations for 1998 are passed. There will be a slight change in the dollar amount of one of the amounts [which he will bring up when the legislation is considered.] STANDING COMIVIITTEE REPORTS Activities Comtnittee - M[ayor Rinker had informed everyone of the upcoming Holiday Tree Lighting at the Caucus meeting preceding this meeting. Mrs. Roman said the Activities Committee is preparing for the Appreciation Dinner. They will be able to do moxe after tonight's meeting. Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. Board of AppeaLs - Mr. Samac said there was one hearing. The Board's decision -was appealed; the appeal is before Council this evening. Cemeterv- Dr. Parker said they will be replacing the flag shortly. Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said the Board did not meet in December. They will wait until after the first of the year. Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said the Commission exterids holiday wishes and best wishes for a Happy New Year. Mrs. Roman said she will attach the report to the minutes (as Exhibit "A".) Safet,y and Service - Mrs. Cinco said there was no meeting this evening since there were no items for the agenda.
