Regular Council Meeting <br />12-8-97 <br />Page 3 <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the Committee met this evening. The Comrnittee <br />recommends approval of all six (6) items on the agenda: (A copy of the agenda is attached to the <br />minutes as Exhi'bit `B". <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said there was no rneeting, no report. <br />Historical Societv - Dr. Parker said the firep}ace is being installed in the Log Cabin basement. It <br />vvili be a non-working fireplace. The Turkey Raffle was a great success. The next event will be <br />the annual Potluck Supper on December 10,1997 in the Community Room at 6:30 p.m There <br />will be an Open House at the Bennett VanCuren House on December 21 from 1-4 p.m. They had <br />ti3eix 5`h wedding at the Historical House on November 22. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Buckholtz said they met last Thursday. There was some revamping the baseball <br />academy. It is pretty elear that Jim Farmer will become the new President next year. Mr. Farmer <br />reported that the people who put iII the ice skating rink in Auburn are interested in putting one <br />here in Mayfield Village. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said Ordinance Review will meet tamorrow night. <br />Planning and 2o- Mr. Ferrante P&Z met this evening. There were 3 items on the agenda. and <br />all 3 items were passedby the P'&Z Commission uYanimously (and recommended for Council <br />approval.) The items are: 1) preliminary site-plan approval for D.O. Summers-an addition to <br />their ,present building; 2) Lcst consolidation and 3) lighting schematic for Progressive Insurance at <br />6671 Beta Drive. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said they met November 19. They had guests from the 90' <br />Grade Student Council tallc to them about creafiing a Sports night as a fund raiser at Wiley Park in <br />the 5pring. _ It is the Board's intention to back them for their Sports Night and at the same time <br />inncorporate them for organj7!ing them far teen nights throughaut the summer. <br />Sewer Liaison Committ ee - Mr. Buekhaltz had no report. <br />OLD BUSIlvESS: <br />Thexe were no items under Old Business. <br />OPEN PORTIQN - 3 minute }amit imposed by Chair.
