Regular Council Meeting
7-17-00
Page 11
Mrs. Mills asked if -that isn't dangerous.
Mr. Ilacqua said he asked Chief Stevens and it is serviceable; there is no safety issue.
Mrs. Mills asked Chief Stevens what the cost of the replacement of tires, etc. would be.
Mr. Busa said he respects police cars and motorcycles and his motion is still to approve
it.
Council President Marquardt said he tends to agree that we could hold off. [It only has
20,000 miles.]
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mrs. Mills and
]Jr. Parker
NAYS: Mr. Ilacqua and Council President Marquardt
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
^ A motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $5,100*^'* to
Minuteman Press for the Fall issue of the Parks & Recreation Brochure
Note: The amount of this motion was changed to $4,200*~'~'
Council President Marquardt said he suggested $4,200; this is $5,100. He will leave it to
whoever makes the motion.
Mr. Buckholtz said he will make the motion with a change to $4,200.
Mr. Ilacqua seconded the motion.
Dr. Parker said he feels that for $900 he doesn't have a problem with giving Mr. Thomas
a little more leeway. Mr. Thomas has done a great job promoting our programs. The
program process is still new. We are just turning over on a single year and he would
prefer to see this issue be as good as it can. By the time next issue comes up, maybe we
can have some information available regarding if we toned it down. At this point, he is
in favor of not to exceed $5,100.
Council President Marquardt said the motion is on the table for $4,200.
Mr. Busa said second.
Council President Marquardt said the motion has already been seconded.
