Regular Council Meeting <br />7-17-00 <br />Page 5 <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said they met June 21St for the last meeting of the <br />Summer. A quarterly report is being prepared by the Parks & Recreation Director. The <br />- Board will reconvene on September 20. The Rock-n-Roll concert at the pool was rained <br />out last Friday night. It has been rescheduled for this coming Friday at 8:30 p.m. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said this Committee is also taking the <br />Summer off. <br />SPECIAL COMNII'I°TEE REPORTS <br />Cable Review Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said we are waiting for final language as drafted <br />by the representatives of Cablevision to renew the agreement. They are in negotiations <br />with over 50 communities at the point. He asked Mr. Diemert if he could elaborate in <br />terms of time frame. <br />Mr. Diemert said we are expecting the final draft to be approved by Cablevision. We <br />have sent it to them and they are supposed to be finalizing their approvals. We have <br />come to terms on all the issues; they must get it in writing and get it back to us. Mr. <br />Diemert said that once he receives it, he will draft an ordinance. <br />Wage Review - Mr. Ilacqua said Wage Review has no report. <br />S O M Center Road Widening Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said the S.O.M. Center Road. <br />Widening Committee recommended by a vote of 6 to 1 not to bury utility lines along <br />S.O.M. Center Road. The Committee drafted a letter to all the residents along S.O.M. <br />Center Road letting 'them know that LTRS is going to be initiating the right-of-way <br />acquisition process. He asked if the. letters went out. <br />Mrs. Roman said yes, letters were sent to the residents.but copies weren't in Council's <br />packets. She has copies here to distribute to Council :this evening. <br />Mr. Ilacqua asked~Mrs: Roman to send a copy to' Mike Burgess. <br />;,.:.. <br />Mr. Ilacqua said things are moving along and we will meet again next week. One of the <br />focuses of the meeting will. be whether or not to have the median added into the overall <br />design of the project or not. We have given`this issue careful consideration and - <br />anticipate having a recommendation for the Council meeting in August. ~ Council will <br />receive a copy of the letter sent to John Motl, Program Manager for ODOT District 12, <br />by Mike Burgess. Mayor Rinker quoted from the letter: The Stage I engineering plans <br />were submitted to the District on June 19th for review and concurrence of the line, grade <br />and typical cross-section for the S.O.M. Center Road widening. The preliminary right- <br />of-way drawings should be submitted to the District on or about July 14. The LPA ~ ~ ~ ` ' <br />
