He gave us some interesting insight from a developer's point of view on Beta and gave us some ideas as to how to approach multi-use zoning for that area. It was a very productive meeting. He was very helpful. Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that the Recreation Board met on Wednesday the 16rn Past and present events were discussed. The Christmas party and Santa ride through the Village was very successful. They had about 75 children plus adults at the party which was enjoyed by all. MBA basketball has 275 participants. They are extremely busy. The girl's league started first. They ended in November. The boys started in December. They will end in March. We are maxed out in the boy's league. Sean Supler from our Recreation Department is taking care of all of that. The 7t" and 8t" grade boys play mid-week and the rest play on Saturdays in the middle school. All of the volunteer coaches are parents and all of them have a son or daughter participating in the games. The Recreation Department planned a very successful event for high schoolers. They had about 175 turn out. They had 3 bands and a DJ. That was a big turnout for the kids. It is the kind of event we should see more o£ The summer Parks and RecYeation brochure should be out shortly. One last thing that was discussed was late fees for signing up for events. M.A.R.C. and Mayfield Village had problems. There are deadlines. For example, M.A.R.C. had a deadline and after that they had 70 more applications. It is hard to schedule teams and games when 70 more are coming in afterwards. They changed their fee from $77.00 to $100.00 past the deadline as a late fee to discourage late registrations. Mayfield Village Recreation will do the same thing, but not as high. The Board is kicking it around. We will probably add a$10.00 late fee. It's very hard to schedule things when you have 60-70 people coming in at the last minute. The next meeting is scheduled for February 20`h SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: 2020 Vision Committee - Dr. Parker reported that there was no meeting. There is no report. Information & Technolou - Mr. Marrie reported that there was no meeting. There is no report. Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that we have not had a meeting, but we will be scheduling one for February. oiAsusr?ss, OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair.
