Regular Council Meeting <br />3-17-08 <br />Page 5 <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on March 3`d. They <br />discussed the police department, the change-over on the new vehicles, and dealing with the <br />Service Department, the common areas that need lawn fertilization and the sports field. <br />Finance Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Finance Committee met this evening. They <br />have 11 items on the agenda. They removed item number 7 as it requests approval of a <br />conditional use permit which will be handled by Council. The Committee also approved the <br />other 10 items on the agenda which are on Council agenda this evening. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported that on April7th they will have 20 Gates Mills students <br />come for their tour. On April 8th, over 100 students will be coming from Millridge to tour the <br />house. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that M.A.R.C. met on March 6th. First and second grade floor <br />hoclcey is completed. The high school goes through Apri127th. The registration deadline for flag <br />football for 6-8th grade was March 14th. The next meeting is Apri13`d <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on March <br />11 t. They went through a third or fourth review of the stormwater ordinances that are on the <br />agenda tonight. They have been reasonably well reviewed. There are a couple more things to be <br />reviewed on this. They do not have to be passed tonight. <br />Planniniz and Zonin? - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning met on Maxch 3rd <br />They had their organizational meeting. They discussed a conditional use permit for Body <br />Technic Systems, Inc., which was recommended for approval and is on the agenda tonight. They <br />also discussed a conditional use permit for MDU Broadband. There was not enough information <br />at the meeting. It will be coming up again at a special meeting this Thursday. <br />Recreation Board - Dr. Parker reported that the Recreation Board met February 201". Notable <br />highlights of the meeting include: Dave Perout was elected Chairperson and the Debbie Hudacko <br />scholarship interviews are scheduled for April 291". The Spring Party and Egg Hunt was March <br />15th. Mrs. Mills reported that it was very well attended. The magician was well received by the <br />children. The adults also loved him. Everyone had a great time. Mrs. Mills and Wanda took <br />about 60 pictures of children with the Easter - Bunny. It was a very good party. They served <br />pizza and some nice cookies and punch. Everyone had a very good time. They went outside in <br />the snow and had an Easter egg hunt. It worked out very well. Dr. Parker thanked all of the <br />volunteers who helped make this such a successful event. The committee also discussed softball <br />field fees which are on the agenda tonight. There was also a comment about a family from <br />Mayfield Heights whose house was burned down. They are now living in the Village. Tracy will <br />find out what they need for anyone interested in helping out. The next meeting is March 19th at <br />7:00 p.m.
