Regular Council Meeting <br />3-17-08 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Committee met on March Sth. Mary Ann <br />Brastoff was elected as the new Chairman. We had good attendance at the meeting. Diane <br />Wolgamuth addressed the need for volunteer ushers and tickettakers for Reserve Hall. Mrs. <br />Mills has already approached the Garden Club with this. Mrs. Mills will be presenting a <br />brochure to them. Maybe we can get some of those ladies to sign up too because a lot of those <br />ladies work at the Cleveland Playhouse in downtown Cleveland so they already know how to do <br />those things. Also discussed at- the meeting were the Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast, the <br />Summer Concerts, Cruise Night and July 4t" activities. The fireworks are taken care o£ We have <br />one more year on that contract. We also discussed a possible youth concert in conjunction with a <br />pool party. We have some time to think about that. Bill Thomas was enthusiastic. We will <br />discuss this in further detail at our next meeting on Apri12°d <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that Architectural Review Board met on <br />February 281. They approved a new home at 758 Kenwood which he spoke of earlier. They <br />also approved an addition to 552 Zorn Lane. <br />Beautification- Mr. Saponaro reported that the Beautification Committee met on March lOth. Jill <br />Kane was present fiom Eagle Creek. This is the nursery that will take care of all of our baskets <br />and hayracks for the year. We had a lively discussion about watering plants. Our next meeting is <br />April 14th <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli indicated that Board of Appeals met on February 19th. They <br />discussed signage for the Mayfield Village Racquet Club which was approved. There will now <br />be a sign on that building so you know where to hang up your racquet. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Mills reported that there is no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - The next meeting is scheduled for April 9th at 7:00 p.m. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Kalina reported that the Commission on Aging met last Thursday, <br />March 13t . They evaluated the employee thank you luncheon, the card group Valentine's <br />luncheon and the upcoming anniversary party as well as some of our other activities. We will <br />meet this coming Thursday the 20tn <br />Drafnage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco reported that Drainage and <br />Infrastructure met this evening. They went over their budget. Three minor projects need to be <br />finished from last year. Not many applications have been received for this year. We have revised <br />the requirements to reflect that "residents" should be amended to "property owners". They are <br />the ones who should give us the authority to do the work on their property.
