Regular Council Meeting <br />3-17-08 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $3,503.40 to Turf Grass for <br />in-house fertilization on sports fields. <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount <br />of $3,503.40 to Turf Grass for in-house fertilization on sports fields. <br />Dr. Parker asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mrs. Mills asked that it be noted that this is for fertilization only. The Service Department does <br />the actual application. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Motion to approve user fees for the softball fields and soccer fields in the following <br />amounts: ' <br /> <br /> <br />- 1-4 hours of use: $50.00 per field <br />- 4-8 hours of use: $100.00 per field <br />- Light fee if using <br />Wiley or Parkview softball fields: $30.00 per hour <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to approve user fees for the softball fields <br />and soccer fields in the following amounts: 1-4 hours of use: $50.00 per field; 4-8 hours of use: <br />$100.00 per field; Light fee if using Wiley or Parkview softball fields: $30.00 per hour. <br />Dr. Parker asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Thomas stated that Mr. Metzung commented that if labor was needed, there would be an <br />additional cost for two men. <br />Mayor Rinker asked if we should hold on this. <br />Mr. Metzung asked what the 1-4 and 4-8 hours are. If the Service Department does not have <br />anything to do with it, what does it matter? Mr. Thomas replied that if the organization is going <br />to use it all day long, we are going to chaxge them $100.00. Some groups only use it for 2-3 <br />hours, so we will charge them an appropriate amount. <br />Mayor Rinker stated that this was addressed in Caucus, but is there still a question between <br />departments on this, or there is additional tweaking that needs to be done? What kind of a rush <br />do we have on this? Mr. Thomas replied that he would like to have this in place by the next <br />Council meeting. Mayor Rinker asked if we should pass this and then tweak it.
